Hello,

Can someone help me?

I installed clamscan 0.60-10 on a Linux Debian Woody system. This deb-package requires ucf 0.26 on my system. Everything seemed fine. I ran clamscan as root (via su) on my whole system.

Halfway down the scan my normal user account acted strange. I lost permisions for all kinds of actions. I found out that during the scan several system files cq configuration-files (in /etc/.. en /var/lib/..) had changed file-permisions during the scan (from 655 to 600) eg. xterm etc. Normal user accounts do not like this and I sufferd quit a lot of repair work.

I suspect ucf to do this via clamscan.

Does anyone know what this problem is?

What am I doing wrong?

Kind regards,

Jørgen Best
