It's "strace" in Linux. Perhaps I was confused by another mail which mentioned Solaris... ("truss" is "strace" for Solrais)Can you send me the output of truss -o /tmp/freshclam.truss /path/to/freshclam (in private mail rather than to list) ?

Thank you for your prompt response. I'm sorry, but I've never heard of "truss" before, nor I can find any program by that name in clamav 0.65 or in any package of my Linux distribution (Slackware 9.1).
