Using apt for rpmbased systems is not good idea, IMHO.Have you thought about having the rpms available for Red Hat via apt as well? I was thinking of the Freshrpms or Fedora feeds.
If you could that would be great as they handle most of my software updates via apt/synaptic.
Test YUM repository at http://crash.fce.vutbr.cz/crash-hat/1/
You can do it by two ways. Via up2date, what has yum support, or via yum program natively.
For up2date mechanism add to file /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources next line: yum crash-hat http://crash.fce.vutbr.cz/crash-hat/1
and run command 'up2date -u clamav'
or for yum mechanism add to file /etc/yum.conf next lines: [crash-hat] name=Fedora Core $releasever - $basearch - CrashHat baseurl=http://crash.fce.vutbr.cz/crash-hat/$releasever
and run command 'yum update clamav'
If you get error about missing gpg key, get it 'wget http://crash.fce.vutbr.cz/Petr.Kristof-GPG-KEY' and import it 'rpm --import Petr.Kristof-GPG-KEY'
