You can probably not.

I've written a client who get data from standart input and send it to
clamd server across the network. I use it with procmail on my mail
without trouble even when clamd has crashed, you can get it from

  ftp://victor.teaser.fr/pub/lwa/clamd-stream-client/

It only displays the virus name if any and returns with a sendmail
like exit code.

It runs on FreeBSD 5 but should be portable.

Clamav is not needed for compilation. It just need some clamd servers
on your network, so you may drop clients easily on each host.
