I followed the instructions in INSTALL file to install it. I had to copy the
clamd file to /usr/local/bin/clamd manually.
So, I tested but it failed.

If I try to attach the Eicar-Test-Signature  it work fine, but with zip file
not.
WHich software do you use to scan your mails (sorry if you wrote that 
before, it just doesn't come to mind).
What relationship between clamscand and clamscan, clamd?

clamscan is a stand alone utility to scan for virii, where clamd is a 
daemon controlled by clamdscan (and others).
