I apologize for the delay in answering this; clamscan took over 2 weeks to
complete!! Dang it's slow.........well I can't complain for a free program.

Locally.

Hm.. don't know what the difference would be; ClamAV shouldn't depend on
Samba... but I diffed the two and there was a subtle difference, so I corrected
it on the working box, restarted Samba, and ran the scan again (which is why it
took 2 weeks; that box has alotta .zip files). Still worked well. Samba is
configured virtually the same (differences in share names and paths) on both
boxes and it still works on one and fails on the other.

Yep.

Nothing unusual. The log level was already at 1.

I don't believe this is a Samba issue... Clamscan doesn't depend on nor does
it access the files through Samba... I've installed it on a non-Samba box and
it works fine.

Anyway thanks for your help.

Anyone else?
