Hi,

Long time user of qmail + vpopmail + rav (and tmda and some other stuff).
As you probably know rav is going away so on a test dev box I'm playing with
different options. Tried amavis, qmail-scanner, blackhole, mailscanner etc.
We've finally settled on qmail-scanner with clam for now. My problem is I
haven't quite figured out clam just yet.

1)
When I run qmail-scanner's ./configure it auto finds Clamuko and uses it.
However in reading the clamdoc.pdf it says I need to install Dazuko to get
Clamuko. I didn't install Dazuko so how is that working?
I tried the "cat /proc/devices | grep dazuko" and it found nothing. I also
don't have the mentioned /dev/dazuko
However
As long as clamd is running, qmail-scanner (compiled with --scanners
"clamuko") seems to find clam and scan the attachments.

2)
When I execute /usr/local/sbin/clamd it fires up the clamd daemon. How am I
supposed to stop it etc.? I've read about the options it takes like PING
etc. but I don't know how to execute them. I tried echo'ing them to the
socket file /tmp/clamd but that fails (I was getting desperate for options
:)

Thats all for now.

Thanks guys
Malcolm
PS - I'm very impressed with clam over all. Thumbs up to the folks who put
it together and keep it running.
