Notice the /var/amavisd/clamd path.
/etc/clamav.conf
# LocalSocket /tmp/clamd LocalSocket /var/amavisd/clamd -snip- # Run as selected user (clamd must be started by root). # By default it doesn't drop privileges. # User clamav User amavisd
Changed the LocalSocket to match the location in the amavisd.conf file. Also changed the user from clamav to amavisd.
But, this still didn't work for me, I started getting different errors. So, I gave up messing with it as it works fine when called from the "Backup" scanners list...
