Depends whether you want it to be a good mail scanner, or a good anti-virus 
engine.

I find ClamAV does an excellent job of detecting viruses; other tools may be 
better at parsing files and unpacking various formats before handing 
something to clam for diagnosis.

Try Amavis or MailScanner perhaps?
