Doh!

That seems to have done the trick :)  I should have known a simple
solution to a foolish problem...  Guess I'm too used to having filenames
and dirs w/spaces in them that I didn't even think twice about that.

First thing - try to compile it outside of the directory "cvs
snapshots". The name (containing the space) may cause some problems with
autoconf.
