2003-04-29 00:10:06 19AC8F-0006zQ-00 temporarily rejected by exiscan(): Temporary local problem (unable to connect to clamd UNIX socket (/tmp/clamd). errno=146).
I even have an auto-restart script every 5 minutes, but on bad days clamd only lasts less then a minute (there are days when it runs smoothly and doesn't complain at all).
I have
smtp_accept_max = 256
in /usr/exim/configure running on Solaris+Exim+Exiscan+ClamAV

No load stress on my box. I was running clamav-20030424.tar.gz which seems to be the culprit. FreeBSD+Exim+exiscan. Nigel, maybe it's something that you already know with the latest snapshot???
