Thanks for the hint, I just jumped into dazuko.c and changed the "non-root daemon are ignored" part added the UID of my clamav user, and I feel better now. :-) On the notification part, I just wanted an email notifying me a virus is found so that I can direct the eMail to pager or SMS, since it mainly monitoring the upload area of a public message board, I like to be notified immediately so that I could remove the message with an inaccessible attachment to make things look better.
