Can you try compiling this program with various flags:
int main() { return 0; }
cc -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -L/usr/local/lib -pthread test.c
cc -O2 -pipe -L/usr/local/lib -pthread test.c
cc -O2 -pipe -L/usr/local/lib test.c
cc -pipe -L/usr/local/lib -pthread test.c
And tell us which one worked.
