    Oh, I see.  Then I suppose I'm on the right approach.  I removed
that piece of sendfile() code entirely, rather than using the patch
provided by this thread.  Thank you.

    By the way, will that sendfile() of code be removed from ClamAV in
the future release, since it is thought by the Linux kernel group as a
deprecated feature to sendfile() from file to file?
