Isn't enabling the Foreground option in freshclam.conf sufficient?
launchd seems to be managing/controling the startup of the apps and
since they talk to each other they share a common launchd config
environment as assigned in the plist file, both apps are run from
this same environment file so the commands must be inter-changeable
so adding "-f" or "--foreground" only works for freshclam but then
clamd doesn't start because it would need to accept the same argument
and currently it doesn't.
As I said, it's not much of a patch, it just provides the required
commonalities that launchd needs for the two apps.
