Hello,

first of all, thanks for making ClamAV !!!

There have been reports of "shortly available" on-access
scanning feature for windows, but these reports have been
since November, so I don't really know what to think about
it.

I've sent a post to clamwin list, but that list appears
dead.

I would very much like to use Clam for some win2k (or
newer) desktops (even some win2k servers in desktop-usage
mode).

But as far as I can see, the on-access feature is
essential on desktops. E.g. an HTTPS session could bring to
the windows desktop viruses without clamav-enabled proxy
ever seeing it. If clam had on-access scaning under windows,
there wouldn't be a chance for a virus to get in, right ?

Is there any discussion as to how important on-access
scanning is or is not ?

Is there any beta testing we could help with on this ?

Would it help any if we contributed $100 ?

   Thanks,

     JJ
