Today we have been experiencing problems with clamd. We have a setup that has exim with exiscan-acl patch and we use ClamAV to scan incoming mail. We had installed a snapshot from 2004-02-18. This morning, it started to eat a lot of memory resulting kernel killing processes (including clamd). I restarted clamd, but after a couple of minutes, it was using a lot of memory again. I decided to try newer version, so I installed 0.70-rc. Didn't help: it had similar results after a while. The same happened with snapshot from 2004-03-24.
So there is some mail message which will cause a serious memory leak in clamd. I'm going to disable clamd for a while and see if I can track this message down. -Tero -- Tero Matinlassi ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
