I've got a 3945E with 2 GB of RAM and it runs BGP with 2 full and one partial feed on v4 and v6.
v4 says; BGP using 443436482 total bytes of memory v6 says: BGP using 84137018 total bytes of memory I don't know where the memory limits are, but I'm not hitting them. Oh, FYI: C3900e Software (C3900e-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.7(3)M3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) Jonathan On Sun, Jan 13, 2019 at 1:44 PM Łukasz Bromirski <[email protected]> wrote: > You can put 4GB safely into 3945E: > > > On 13 Jan 2019, at 19:54, Mark Leonard <[email protected]> > wrote: > > > > Hi all, > > > > I recall reading back in the day that the ISR G2 series (specifically > > the 3900s) couldn't address more than 2GB of RAM even though kits were > > available for 4GB.
