Daf, As I am a Fedora user, I can't speak to Ubuntu. However, you should be able to use Cinelerra 2.1CV successfully to edit HD video on your rig. I do this every day (well, not every day)! Whether or not you have to compile Cinelerra from scratch is dependent upon whether or not someone has a precompiled install of Cinelerra for your particular version of Ubuntu. If not, then it is "a-compiling" you will go. Which if you don't do often, will be a chore..ah, learning experience. Google is your friend to find out if there is a pre-compiled version of Cinelerra for your Ubuntu. scott _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
