This made me uninstall Cinelerra and will probably never go back to
it. My guess is that people that use Linux doesn't wanna see such a
message...

Akiradnews will be optional on next repository update. With you only 3
people on over 3000 installation/mont for 3 years not wants akiradnews,
probably not all people are same problem with 1 popup only one time
after installation (and max 1 time year).
