Another suggestion would be for you to explore ffmpeg / winff both run
in Linux. ffmpeg is transcoding utility that runs on a command line
winff is a linux gnome base gui that can make the use of ffmpeg a little
easier. I have some writeups on this i can send u if you like contact me
directly at [email protected] for more info and details
Ok, I've used ffmpeg and after some tests:

ffmpeg -i input.MP4 -sameq output.mov

The quality is a bit downgraded from the original but for now it's ok. It works with cinelerra.

I'll write you directly for you writeups.

Thank's to all, I think I'll write again very soon! :)
Davide.

Hi,

I'm new to cinelerra (V4) and video editing, so I need help to understand...

I've a mp4 video made with my camera, I can play correctly with a player but I can't have audio with cinelerra: the audio tracks have a green line for all duration (just a noise at the beginning).

Any idea?
More info?

Thank's
Davide.
