http://crazedmuleproductions.blogspot.com/2007/06/beginners-guide-to-exporting-video-from.html I followed the rendering recommendations for a "downloadable from the web" file, namely: Quicktime for Linux .mov container 2's complement sound, 16-bit with dithering off. MPEG-4 Video with Cinelerra defaults (bitrate 1000000, tolerance 500000, quantization 10, fix bitrate on, etc). This played fine on my friend's Mac. However the file was very large, despite the above link saying this would produce the smallest file. ( I would have thought H264 would have produced the smallest file). What are the units for bitrate above? A high bitrate and would explain the large file.
