Hi everyone, I have been following the Cinelerra3/Lumiera project for a few months now to get an idea of where it would go. It all seems very serious and help is appreciated, also from beginners.
I am an absolute beginner. Never have I participated in an open source project. Neither have I real experience in video editing. I just play a bit with Cinelerra. One might wonder what I am doing here ;-) Although I have been working as a programmer by profession, it won't be of any use: I made Cobol applications for the IBM mainframe. I have no experience in C, C++, etc. Once in a while I do compile Linux programs myself though, so my experience in testing might be useful. I could also help in documentation, something which I find essential and which, IMHO, can make or break a project. I understand this is not of importance right now because Lumiera is in a very early stage of development. I just thought it would be nice to make clear to the project team what help can be expected. In the mean time I will keep a close eye on the development of Lumiera.
