Wow! They beauty of hidden features is that they keep your life full of surprises! :-)
I've just discovered the power of the Translate Plugin applied to a Title. It's really impressive and incredibly useful for us non-native speakers. Not a word about it on the Manual. :-( I really think it is worth being well documented. But I know that Cinelerra is a little buggy with character encoding and I wonder how well non ISO8859-1 languages are supported. When I apply the Translate Effect to an Italian title this is translated to English (in the Compositor output) nearly in real time. When I have an English title this is translated to my locale (it_IT) at same speed. Both are ISO8859-1 languages. I tried to experiment a little with ISO8859-2 and ISO8859-15 but I admit this goes beyond my knowledge. :-/ I'm updating the documentation on the Dokuwiki: http://cvs.cinelerra.org/docs/wiki/doku.php?id=english_manual:cinelerra_cv_en_14#translate Please, check it for accuracy and contribute information for your language. Thanks! Raffaella _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
