thanks. I think I'm starting to understand how to do it. I've been looking through the manual and playing around with the program. It's just going to take me some time to get used to the way cinelerra does things.

If you have two tracks, you simpy use the tracks' faders to fade one track in, and the other track out. You get better control this way, at the expense of screen estate, and more mouse movement.
