This is on FC6. I've tried again and made sure that I had a clean grab from SVN but it is still failing. I have built Cinelerra from source in the past sucessfully.

As a data point, x86_64 builds on Suse 10.2 from svn without messing with PIC. I know there are some other comments about people having trouble with PIC though, maybe a search of the mailing list will help.
