Subject: [CinCVS] Hardware recomendations needed

Searched the archives but couldn't find anything... Sorry if I just missed
it somewhere else.

I recently discovered cinelerra and have been "playing" with it on a debian
sid install (etch + sid upgrade). I am lucky enough to be in a spot to build
a system dedicated to cinelerra for small production use. I will be building
shorts and have found that cinelerra fits the bill perfectly.

My test system is an AMD Athlon64 with 512MB. Kind of small for anything
real, but sufficient to prove the concept and get $$.

So here is the question: what should I build? My initial thought was dual
AMD X2 and a couple GB of RAM, but as I sit back I wonder if it wouldn't be
better to go with a render farm of smaller boxes.

I am also curious about the best way to capture video. So far it has all be
delivered precaptured, but that will stop soon. Looking for specific product
recommendations.

Thanks for the help.

Jaysen
