Yeah I'm happy to give maintaining a shot, but I'm not quite sure where to start. I'm actually running Xubuntu so I have no probs with ubuntu. If anyone can tell me who to email, or just generally what would be needed, I'd be happy to see if I can help. I'm guessing this whole gpl problem also has to be sorted out first, and if anyone needs help with that I can try.
I don't actually have any raw .dv files to work with right now, but I could get some in the near future. I've been shooting in hdv for a little while now, and haven't had a reason to go back, until now ;). Cinelerra is something of a side proj for me, since my comp can't even handle hdv playback, much less editing, though as I said I can play things back in slow-mo. If I have enough spare time, I might give that workflow in the wiki a try, but that looks like a lot of work. I'm hoping to upgrade in the not so distant future, without having to pay for FinalCut$tudio, and cinelerra is a major part of that equation. So, I'll see what I can do about testing raw .dv files, and follow any instructions anyone has for me on becoming powerpc ubuntu cinelerra maintainer (provided they aren't over my head). Hope this all works out, -griff
