It's for fun, and because we're a Community. The Cinelerra "Community
Version" community. =)

At least, that'll give us a good opportunity to share our videos.

The idea of the name is nice:
Surname-Name-City-Country.mov

But that's not enough information. We need:
- Surname & Name and/or pseudonym
- City
- Country
- What people says, written in their native language
- What people says, written in English
That's why I also think Alex's idea of putting that information at the
beginning of each video is quite nice.
Let's do both then. We name the file Surname-Name-City-Country.mov, and
we put the information during 2-3 seconds at the beginning of each
video. That way, we'll get all the information in each video, and we'll
cut that part of the video for the final video, of course.

Should the video contain just the user speaking in front of the
camcorder, at the place he/she choose? Or should the video be "prepared"
by the user, with the name, flag, and so on?

Having just the people in front of the camera, without any effect, would
allow one to create an homogeneous final video (with all the users).

As regards to the deadline, we should first define a deadline for
"receiving" the videos of ourselves. 2 weeks should be ok, don't you
think? Then, 1 more month should be enough for everybody to prepare
his/her final video.

We then share our videos and select the best one. We should also share
our .xml cinelerra projects files! That would be very interesting to see
how we used cinelerra to do our videos! =)

I'll do the video of myself on next week. I already have a funny idea.
=)

Nicolas.
