Hi all. I'm impatiently waiting for Chrome to support extensions so that I can port my conduit toolbar over to Chrome. I'm itching to promote my toolbar and get more users, but if I do that now, I have to promote IE or Firefox in the process.
Anyway, I was wondering what the community thought about toolbars and Chrome. Chrome is supposed to be a minimalistic browser, but average users often get talked into or tricked into installing a lot of toolbars, and then they call tech guys like me asking how their browser got so bloated. I go to several clients and see their internet explorer interface taking up have of the screen because of toolbars. Do you think Chrome should implement a measure to restrict the interface to one toolbar at a time? They could put a small button on the toolbar strip to cycle between the installed toolbars, giving the user the ability to specify their preferred order. What do you think? Also, do you think toolbars in Chrome should have separate search boxes, or should the toolbar search be consolidated into the omnibar? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Discussion mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-discuss -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
