To the Rockstars, You know who you are. I'm sorry if I'm clogging up the email lists or anything of that sort. But I just have to share how much I love Cherokee.
Some of you might remember me from the lists when I was was researching light weight webservers and was undecided as to which one to go with. Well, I went with Cherokee in my Virtual Machine cluster environment. Now I have a total of 5 instances installed on 5 VMs. Every time I needed a webserver on Cherokee went. All the servers are Fedora 13. I have a main gateway server load balancing to 2 internal VMs. Each of theme machines are in turn load balancers themselves currently balancing the same cluster of 2 web application servers behind theme. On the two web application servers I am running php in FastCGI. I know there were some pointers on what to use when it came to php, but thus far everything is working great as is so far. Extremely fast too. I'm sure I don't have things configured for optimum speed, but I'm still impressed. Of course, the admin is a dream come true... and I'm being serious :) There are some bugs in the UI and with async requests (one of which is major that I need to reproduce again in order to post it more descriptively), but it still increases my productivity in webserver administration by 200%. Thank you very much to all who have contributed. Now I am recommending Cherokee every chance I get.
