Dear Chennaipy Team,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Dhanush Kandhan, and I would
like to submit a talk proposal for Chennaipy Jan. Month Meetup. My
talk focuses on the importance of *High-Performance Computing (HPC)* in the
Python ecosystem and introduces *Guro*, a developing open-source toolkit
for GPU and CPU monitoring and benchmarking.
*Talk Title:*

*"Democratizing High-Performance Computing with Python: Why It Matters and
an Introduction to Guro"*

*Talk Abstract:*

Python’s versatility and simplicity have made it a go-to language for a
wide range of applications, from machine learning to data analysis. As data
grows exponentially, *High-Performance Computing (HPC)* has become
essential to keep pace with the demands of large-scale processing, both for
organizations and individual developers.

This talk will explore how Python empowers HPC adoption, discussing:

   - The dual importance of HPC for organizations and individuals in
   accelerating workflows and enhancing efficiency.
   - Practical challenges in optimizing computational resources using
   Python.
   - The role of benchmarking in unlocking the full potential of
Python-based workloads on CPUs and GPUs.

As a practical takeaway, I will introduce *Guro*, a Python-based
open-source toolkit designed for monitoring and benchmarking GPU and CPU
performance. While still in development, Guro offers promising
capabilities, including:

   - Monitoring computational resource usage in real-time.
   - Benchmarking workloads to identify bottlenecks.
   - Real-time multi-platform Device Headmap tracing.

Whether attendees are Python developers exploring GPU acceleration or
professionals optimizing performance, this session will provide actionable
insights, tools, and practical examples to harness the power of HPC using
Python.
*Proposed Duration:*

20 minutes

*About Me:*

I am Dhanush Kandhan, currently Research Fellow in AI & Computer Ethics at
University of Cambridge. My expertise lies in Python-based development for
AI, HPC, and data-intensive applications. I am also the creator of *Guro*,
an open-source toolkit focused on GPU and CPU benchmarking & monitoring. I
am passionate about leveraging Python to simplify and democratize advanced
computing technologies.
