It's just scripting what's otherwise done manually, it's taking the same
commands that I'd normally type out and putting them in a script ("I will
replace you with a small shell script").  I assume the prohibition is against
the "continuous" part of the CI term, but since (in my particular case) I only
do this maybe once every six months, the build takes a few minutes, and I'm in
a time zone where no-one much is using the machines, I can't see it placing
undue strain on things.
