However, automativally cleaning /tmp /var/tmp /usr/tmp is always good, say after 24h of non-use. Someone said that there is bulk accumulating in /tmp on some machines that would be cleaned at reboot but, of course, the GCC Compile Farm machines run for years uninterruptedly...
