The general consensus when this came out was that Ceph clusters shouldn't
be visible enough in your infrastructure to worry about vulnerabilities
from external sources.  I went ahead and upgraded to patch some of my
clusters and didn't see any performance problems with them.  Benchmarks
showed an impact, but our actual load wasn't high enough to actually notice
it.
