Apologies for re-asking this question since I found several hits on this question but not very clear answers.
I am in a situation where s3cmd ls seems to work but s3cmd mb s3://bucket1 does not 1. The rgw dns name = servername in the apache rados.vhost.conf file. and on the client running the s3cmd the .s3cfg has host_base = <IP address of the radosgw> host_bucket = %(bucket)s.<IP address.com> the rgs dns name and that in the apache2 rados.vhost.conf has rgw dns name and Servername set to <IP address.com> Please advise Thank you
