I am writing a RADOS client that can access RADOS's OMAP infrastructure in 'C'. Since I'm running it on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, I am having Ceph/RADOS version 0.72.2. This version does not have OMAP 'C' interface support (as i inferred from /usr/include/rados/librados.h), however 0.79 has. What is the best way to upgrade Ceph to 0.79 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. This is a test machine so if Ceph data is lost, I do not care, but I want to avoid upgrading the OS.
