Snapshots are disabled by default; there's a command you can run to enable them if you want, but the reason they're disabled is because they're significantly more likely to break your filesystem than anything else is! ceph mds set allow_new_snaps true -Greg Software Engineer #42 @ http://inktank.com | http://ceph.com
