We use the elrepo kernel-ml (kernel mainline) packages for some kernel RBD RHEL 
6 clients. Works quite well, but obviously RedHat won’t give you enterprise 
support for it.

Unless things changed I think there is no usable kernel client with the Redhat 
supplied kernel.
You could build your own kernel but that is a bit of a pita.
If you intend to use it for KVM/qemu you could use the qemu rbd support.
This requires a custom build of the qemu packages but that is way easier to 
maintain imho.
