Basic DRBD is RAID-1 over network. You don't "replicate" the filesystem, you have it backed by 2 devices one of which happens to be on another computer. Less basic DRBD allows you to mount your gluster fs on both hosts or add another DRBD on top to mirror your filesystem to a 3rd node.
