Altough Anthony I agree in discouraging this idea, I did the same on my cluster
(in production). It's a residue when I installed the cluster not yet knowing
how large my setup would be.

A typical setup on each host:

Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type
/dev/sde1 2048 209717247 209715200 100G 83 Linux
/dev/sde2 209717248 1875385007 1665667760 794,3G 8e Linux LVM

Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type
/dev/sdf1 * 2048 1050623 1048576 512M ef EFI (FAT-12/16/32)
/dev/sdf2 1050624 210765823 209715200 100G 83 Linux
/dev/sdf3 210765824 1875385007 1664619184 793,8G 83 Linux

md0 : active raid1 sdf2[3] sde1[2]

Disks sd[a-d] and beyound sdf are used exclusively for osd

Never had an issue with the functioning of ceph in this setup (for approx.. 3
years this cluster is running). So even being not good practice, I don't
intended to take the time to modify this setup
