Ditto, I had a "fun" 18.2.5 experience upgrading our lab with dm-crypt OSDs, but even with 18.2.5 bricking the OSD startup, the orchestrator prevented any downtime by blocking further updates, and as soon as 18.2.6 became available, the upgrade finished fine.
