sorry for the late notice, but a data loss bug was reported against rgw yesterday in https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/70746. we suspect the regression came from https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/58213 whose reef backport was included in 18.2.5 for https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/67268
the fix in https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/62604 hasn't merged to main yet, but initial testing looks promising for 18.2.5, i think we have two choices: - wait for https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/62604 and its reef backport, or - revert the backport that caused the regression. if we revert, then 18.2.5 will continue to leak tail objects from server-side copies, but at least it won't lose data On Tue, Apr 1, 2025 at 1:40 PM Yuri Weinstein <ywein...@redhat.com> wrote: > > Thank you all for review and approval > > The only remaining issues are: > > upgrade-clients:client-upgrade-octopus-reef-reef - Ilya and Josh > looked with no conclusion yet > upgrade/pacific-x (reef) - Laura is looking > > Neha, can you take a look at those and reply with recommendations or > approval as is? > > On Tue, Apr 1, 2025 at 8:32 AM Adam Emerson <aemer...@redhat.com> wrote: > > > > On 31/03/2025, Yuri Weinstein wrote: > > > Release Notes - > > > > > > https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/62589 > > > https://github.com/ceph/ceph.io/pull/856 > > > > [snip] > > > rgw - Adam E approved? > > > > > > RGW approved! > > > _______________________________________________ > ceph-users mailing list -- ceph-users@ceph.io > To unsubscribe send an email to ceph-users-le...@ceph.io _______________________________________________ ceph-users mailing list -- ceph-users@ceph.io To unsubscribe send an email to ceph-users-le...@ceph.io
