ZFS is simpler than that ;-) If you enabled the zpool autoexpand feature, you just need to start replacing disks by bigger ones. Once you are ready with replacing all disks from a RAID system, the filesytem shows the new size. BTW: where do you expect the additional 10G to come from in your example?
