These problems were all solved once before, with a different SAN technology..... that is optimized for the storage task, incidentally..... That being said, the Fibre-channel bog-standard two-SPE and dual-attach drives is a good architecture to follow for iSCSI as well for high availability. Using clustered LVM to back your LUNs can allow this. Dual attach with SAS is possible, too.
