It has been a while since I've set up a list, but as I recall, you run the 
'/usr/lib/mailman/bin/newlist' command to create a list and it gives you a list 
of aliases that you have to add to /etc/aliases (and then run 'newaliases') to 
direct inbound messages to the list program.
