For anyone who's interested, I have posted Centos rpms for the latest version (0.19) of the Geany programmer's editor here:
http://www.melvilletheatre.com/articles/el5/index.html i386,x86_64 and src.rpm are all there. If you're a programmer and haven't tried geany yet, do yourself a favour and try it out.
