Did you miss the part where I said to set up yum to use the EPEL repository? http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/FAQ#How_can_I_install_the_packages_from_the_EPEL_software_repository.3F You might want to look into other 3rd party repositories, but EPEL is the place to start for additional software and the least likely to have conflicts with the base install.
