John, thanks.  I wasn't aware of that page.

Nvidia confuses the issue when it lists support with the latest
package run installation.  It states that it supports the 9500 GT.
What gives?

Yes, that is fairly clear on the CUDA site.  And AMD has been pretty
helpful, too.
