Of course, if the program being run in the document example requires
superuser privileges, root would be a reasonable choice.

What I am querying is whether a CentOS document should have a consistent
look, right down to the username used in examples.
Your assertion is, "you can use whatever you want." Is that the CentOS
community standard?
